This Laser Cat will keep your pets (and even humans!) entertained.
When the cat is turned on, it will project a laser light on the ground. When the cat moves its head back and forth/up and down, the laser on the ground moves.
This device has an On/Off switch that the cat is sitting on. One of the Cat eyes has a laser and the other eye has an LED to simulate the laser eye look.
It features a motion sensor on the front with a LED indicator. The sensor can be pressed like a button to either activate or deactivate the sensor. There is a safety switch under the platform so if someone picks up the cat it will cut off power. There is also a switch on the bottom to switch between Continuous mode and Start/Stop mode. It runs on four AA alkaline batteries that can be replaced when needed.
There are also a few accessories that the cat can wear. Keep scrolling to see the options.

Cat Accessories
The top hat is for when the cat needs to attend formal occasions.
The laser shades serve two purposes. First: The laser shades block the laser from going through it. It's an added safety measure. You can remove them when you are ready for play time. Second: It gives the cat a chance to look a little more stylish.

More about this project
This project didn't start out as anything special. I originally made a laser device that looked bland. At the time I just wanted a project that would give me a chance to play with lasers and servo motors. Then my brother-in-law suggested that I make it look like something. That is when this idea started to take a turn for the better.
I'm not that great at drawing animals but that is what I wanted it to look like so I went online and found someone that could draw me a basic 3D version of a cat. I was able to take the file and add, remove and cut things that I needed to accommodate for all the electronics and other parts needed. I had to remove the cat head from the body and add the platform. I had to design the infrastructure to the interior of the cat body and head to get all the electronics to fit properly.
Once I got the electronics programmed and working the way I wanted, I designed the accessories.
