About the Functional Wall Magnets

A unique way to play with a toy without the tripping hazard. The toy is meant to simulate how that machine functions in real life by moving one hand lever.

Each toy has a magnet attached to the back of it to allow it to be attached to a magnetic surface like a whiteboard or a chalkboard.

These toys are designed to be as thin as possible but still give you the ability to operate a lever that makes them move. They are thin like a painting on the wall. It can look like art but still have some fun functionality to it.

Each toy type does at least two movements when the lever is rotated. For instance, if the lever is moving a lift arm it will also move the bucket too.

Dump Truck Magnet

This was the first functional wall magnet I created. The hand lever moves the bucket up and down which also moves material in and out of the bucket.

Excavator Magnet

This was one of the more challenging functional wall magnets designs. The hand lever moves the main arm and while the main arm is moving the secondary arm and the bucket move too at the same time.

Front Loader Magnet

The hand lever moves the lift arm up and down which also tilts the bucket at the same time.

Skid Steer Magnet

The hand lever moves the lift arm up and down which also tilts the bucket at the same time.

Scissor Lift Magnet

The hand lever moves the platform up and down which also moves the platform extension at the same time.

More about this project

I thought of this idea while I was working at a coffee shop. While I was sitting there pondering something else I looked at the wall and thought it would be nice if they had something on there for me to play with while I was thinking about another design.

I thought it would be nice to have something to play with but not clutter up my table space.

Why can't we have something on walls that's functional and can also be a decoration for the wall as well?
